Yeah, the whole "blaze orange for MZ hunters but not for archers during MZ season" has always had me scratching my head. I live in NH and blaze isn't required at any time. I still wear it during gun season without fail. There is also no minimum age to hunt so that's another good reason to wear blaze. It's really about protecting yourself and your family. I'll be toting my 50 cal in CO this year so I'll be looking like the Great Pumpkin. I actually need to replace my hat since I think it's sun faded enough to where it won't pass muster.

The BO rules are a strange

The BO rules are a strange duck in Colorado during the ML hunt and I guess that it is that way just because a ML is a firearm. I have always figured that bow hunters should be required to wear it also during the ML hunt even if they are just archery hunting. You have to figure who is more likely to get shot by accident during the ML hunt. A ML hunter with BO on or a archer crawling around in camo in the brush?

As for packing a ML while you are archery hunting it is the pretence that you are hunting that would get you a ticket if you don't have your BO on.
