Midnight April 6th, get em in!
Hard to believe it is that time of the year again.
It's taking a lot of coordinating with our group to get everyone on the same page, but I think we finally did it. And most of us will be zeroed out this year, making decisions a little easier for next year, as the only guys who won't be zeroed out will continue to put in for points followed by second choice hunts anyway.
Yep, I decided to go for broke myself and SHOULD only have pref points left on bear! Keeping my fingers crossed and holding my breath!
Coulda gone hybrid starting next year, but figured I would see what I could do this year!
Just wish I wasn't such a cheap skate, and would fork up the money to apply for sheep, goat & moose! Maybe next year ![]()
Well, after checking in with the gang, only two complete screw ups and loss of opportunities for a tag they could have drawn.
I try, I try, I try. I spell out the whole process, but oh well.
And the good thing is we've consolidated our scouting trips this year by keeping our deer and 2 elk hunts in the same neighborhood.

I learned a few years ago if you want everything to come out right you need to do a lot of the work for the other people as far as applying as a group is concerned. For all the states that allow you to use the Internet to apply I have been picked by my group to do it for them then I'll get reimbursed for any of the fees that have to be sent in. There have been a few times that it has gotten quite expensive with the ones that don't have a credit card. But at least I know that it has been done right with no one being rejected.
