Armyman, Welcome to BGH. I have hunted many units around 34 but never 34. I'd try some of the state land & BLM land, these pieces are usually small but can be really productive. Do you have a BLM map of the area? If not here a web page to get one. http://plicmapcenter.org/

I would call Glenwood's Chamber of Commerce and they can get you some info on places to stay.

I'm not terribly familiar with 34. However I believe there are some access issues going straight out of glenwood into 34. I believe you have to go east into the canyon, take the dotsero turn off and take the deep creek road in order to access 34 from glenwood.

The DOW maps point to deer concentrations primarily toward the east end of 34 near dotsero. Most of this unit is pretty high up for third season hunting.

Thanks for the info guys. My cousin and three of his buddies pulled some good bucks out of there last year said they hiked their butts of but that's okay looking forward to it. He has told me where to go if it snowed and if it was dry. They only hunted the east end was just woundering if anybody had hunted any other areas up there. Thanks again for the info.
