cold weather batteries for game cams when there is snow on the ground.

What I am trying to find out is: is there a aa battery that last when there is snow on the ground. I run into every year, that in 2 days my game cam batteries are dead due to cold temps. Is there a battery that last longer in cold temps. Basically cold enough to have snow. which we do.

due the lithium work any better in the cold?

thanks

When I know that I am going

When I know that I am going to put my camera out in the wilds during the winter I'll put in a set of new batteries and have never had a problem for the rest of the winter unless I have a lot of animals walking around at night that will trigger the infared flash.  But then my camera takes D cell batteries where a lot of the others just take a C cell.

I am not sure on the lithium batteries but you could try them and let us know how the last.

critter thanks for the info,

critter thanks for the info, mine takes 8 aa batteries and they will last 10,000 to 15,000 shots in summer. But only 1 1\2 days right now.  A couple of people have told me they have good luck with the energizer ultimate lithiums.  I put them in this morning.  I will let you know how they work.

thanks
