CDOW web page for Draw Results and Pref Points says the leftover lists are posted as of today 7/21, but there doesn't seem to be a link. Anyone else get their hands on the list, and am I looking in the wrong spot?
Thanks, Exbiologist. Been to that page too. Guess I figured if the table on the Draw and Pref Pt page indicates todays date in the "Date Posted" column, that the list would be up. Oh well, maybe they're having trouble with the Link (and maybe I'm a little impatient!)
Yeah I would like to see the official list...might be able to go to plan C.

the 7/21 date for Leftover postings is not for the Leftover tag list (as I had assumed), I think the posting is for results of the Leftover Draw. If you were one of the few that choose this option if you are unsuccesful in the primary draw, results should now be posted.
Will hgave to wait a few more days for the leftover list to post
Originally, the DOW gave a date of 7/23 for the leftover list to become avaialble, Just called them and now it appears that the leftover list won't be available online until next week sometime. More waiting..........
::confused2
Always have found it odd that it roughly 4 months for them to hold the drawing and then post up the leftovers 1 month before archery season starts????

that is kinda wierd, it doesnt give you much time to plan or scout. maybe they can speed it up in the future
If you are buying a left over tag from the drawings then you had better know where you are going and where the animals already hang out.
It is interesting in that I have been hanging out on a forum for Utah hunters. It would surprise you to find out just how many questions there are about hunting an area that the hunter has never been to. Just because he put in for a limited entry tag and drew one for an area that he never expected to draw from. I have always thought that if you wanted to hunt an animal in a certain area that you got to know that area by either hunting it or scouting it before you ever put in for that area in a limited draw. Also you wouldn't believe the number of hunters that I have seen that are so grossly unprepaired for the animal that they are hunting. They show up with no equipment to get the animal out or even take care of it in the field. I watched two hunters that were in their 60's that had a couple of kids with them that were under 10 shoot a couple of buffalo in Utah. They had no idea of the size of those critters not to mention that they had little time to get the meat out before a major storm hit them. They huddled under a tree for 4 hours until the storm finaly quit and then they were just going to leave the meat and drag out the heads and hides until a couple of my friends and I showed up to give them a hand.
