CO GMU Tip Sheets

I found these GMU Tip Sheets on the CDOW (I still refuse to call them by their new name) website the other day, and thought I would share.

For anybody who already bought the Colorado Outdoors Big Game program, it looks like very similar information.  They also put in some screen shots from the Colorado Hunting Atlas showing Summer & Winter Concentrations as well as migration routes for deer & elk.  It is definitely a good place to start if you are trying out a new hunting area.

Saw it

Yeah, saw that earlier this week.  I guess we now know what specific places in each GMU will be bombarded with crowds now.  That's okay, I'm just glad that the specific areas in the two GMUs I hunt aren't listed in there. Big smile

It's nice to see the CDOW being a bit more forthcoming with good information though.  It will help newbies or those getting started find an area they can begin.

The information seems

The information seems generally vague enough to me that I doubt it endangers anybody's hunting spots.  Just gives someone new to an area a place to start.  I like it.

That info was always

That info was always available, but it was in a different layout and a bit harder to find.

I've been keeping it to myself. Now the jig is up.

I think I said it when I

I think I said it when I applied last year, but I want to say again how nice it is to see a state be so helpful in getting hunters information with the drawe, the units, etc.  Out here in CA, it's a pain in the butt, and always seems to change.  You would almost think they want hunters to just go away.....
