Clients successful Antelope hunts in TX.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some of my clients, one man and two women, finished their Texas Trophy hunts that I was offering early this year, and although no World Records were shot, they did shoot and seen some really nice antelopes. The 3 hunts that I sold on this trophy ranch shot antelope scoring:
76 6/8
80 1/8
82 5/8

The one guy who tooked the 80 1/8 missed one estimated at 88 the first day. Two of them passed on bigger bucks the first day and ended up settling for little bit smaller bucks but still really good ones. The 82 5/8 was shot by one of the women 30 minutes into the first days hunt. They have had so much rain on the ranch that they could only utilize about 1/3 of the ranch and that had to be in a special off terrain vehicl as they couldn't get around in 4X4's. This is the same ranch that had a 19" come off of it by a family member. I will post some pics as soon as either the clients or the outfitter gets them to me.
The outfitter is still telling me that they are seeing a couple of bucks on this ranch that will push the world record.

What ranch were they taken?
I have a hunt scheduled for Oct 2005 on the McGuire Ranch.

Not very likely SJ, and no disrespect intended, but it is highly unlikely Texas will ever produce a World Record antelope, albeit they produce many that are worthy of being classified as "trophy" antelope. Utah, Wyoming, New Mexico, and especially Arizona routinely produce record book bucks. The current top five B&C Pronghorns are from Arizona, and the current P&Y World Record is also an Arizona buck.

For a glimpse of some truly record book buck pictures, delve into the website provided here: http://www.pronghornguideservice.com/

To illustrate a somewhat typical antelope from Arizona, here's one a buddy of mine shot in the 2004 general rifle hunt, in Coconino County, AZ.

B&C Net score is 87 6/8.

The previous B&C World Record, taken by Mike O'Haco, held that status for 18 years. It was also taken from Coconino County, AZ.

Thats an awsome buck,I have to agree if a new record is killed I would say either NM or AZ no doubt about it.The 2 current world records bolth scored 95 and in the antelope world that is light years away from 82 5/8,even an 88 is no camparison to the top 10 antelope in the book.
