Cleaning rods?

Dewey coated rods are 12/28 male thread w/ a brass adapter for 8/32 which seems to be the standard for brushes, mops and jags. Would copper solvent not erode the brass adapter? Should I go with a Dewey stainless steel rods that comes 8/32 female thread eliminating the need to the brass adapter? Thanks!

I just use an aluminum, three piece rod. The solvent shouldn't corrode your adapter. As a precaution, though, you might want to be sure and wipe it clean when you're finished, so no solvent lingers on it.
