That's usually the way it works, the commercial fisherman do all the damage, but the recreational angler has to abide by tight restrictions. Good old lobbyist at work for the commercial guys.

I prefer bass fishing

I prefer bass fishing anyways. I went out this afternoon for a few hours and caught my limit. The two little guys were gut hooked so I added them to the other three keepers for my limit of 5. The bite was slow and the fish were super lazy. The water temp was close to 90 degrees. I ended up catching about 8-9 fish and lost a few nice ones. Applause :

I saw a bobber on the line.

I saw a bobber on the line. What are you using for bait? crickets? worms?

That was just my Plan B rig.

That was just my Plan B rig. I was using a Zoom Trick Worm in Pumpkin Seed letting it sink to the bottom and jerking it a few times then repeat. The bobber was just my spare rod in case the bass weren't biting.

Went out this afternoon on

Went out this afternoon on the river bass fishing with some friends. We ended up with 6 keepers and about 20 more under size ones we let go. The bigest fish being a 4 pounder I caught on a zoom trick worm. The water was low and flowing hard but the fishing was awesome even in the middle of the day.

It's that time of the year...

Me and my buddy took his canoe out yesterday afternoon. We took 4 dozen misouri minnows along to try the specks. We ended up with 9 nice size black crappie and a bass. They were still spread out a little but their deffinetly starting to turn on. I also caught about 10 bluegill's but we let them go. We scouted out some nice duck hunting spots while out there on the lake, I took my calls with me and had a few flocks try to decoy just to the sound opf my call. Seen wood ducks and a few teal.

When does duck season start in Florida? Did you have any early seasons?
