Game Farm ?? Ontario/Quebec has no red stag and i am pretty sure when SASK sent elk to ontario to establish a huntable population they have'nt reproduced that fast to be a sustainable resource yet.Quebec has no elk period.
Last i heard the elk population in ontario declined due to inadequate habitat, and some poaching activities.
Elk are not native to ontario so i am not sure why the Gov't would even try to relocate the animals to an area when they know survival rates would be minimal at best. The forests are totally different between SASK and Ontario.
So is this a highbfence operation ?????
Let me start off by saying I am not a farmer.
I am a deer hunter and I do own a tractor and have all of the equipment - but that does not make you a farmer any more than standing in the garage makes you a car - well, you get the picture!
Having said that - and with most of my ineptitude fairly well hidden - I do think that buckwheat is one of the most under rated cover crops out there.
I say cover crop because I see mixed results as it relates to the deer eating the plants.
