Depends to Whom and Where you pose the Question.
I know an Old Guy in The Cape Breton Highlands(94 years young) that swear Canadian Longevity is based on the Three Ms.
MOONSHINE , MOOSEMEAT & MARIHUANA (never mentioned icecream CG)

On a more serious note, the things I like about Canada:

Not over crowded
No real dangerous weather formations in my area
great neighbors to the south Thumbs up

The things I don't like about Canada:

Politicians got their head shoved up their ...
Just about the dumbest gun laws targeting hunters more than criminals
Make a law for every safety thing they can think of while not letting adults make their own decisions. They are good habits but the adults should have the choice.(ie. seatbelts, bicycle helmets, etc.)

It seems to me that Canada must be a good place to live because of all the people I have met that moved here from other countrys......I don't know any that moved here from Canada!
I hope I get a chance to hunt deer there some day. I met a couple of guys on a job we did. They were from Canada and had the contract to install the furnature in the store we were building. I asked them if they deer hunted (a question I ask every one that I meet!) and they said they did and killed 2 moose that season. Thats the kind of deer hunting I would like to do. I think we have great neighbors to the north. Thumbs up

Where I am its clean air and clear water that you drink right from the lake. I can hunt out my back door without worrying about someone owning the land or having to pay fees to hunt there. We have gun laws but noway are they as convoluted as those in California for example. Our Federal laws are identical from one coast to the other while in the States for example, each State has its own set of laws. On the down side, everything in the country is run or decided on in Ottawa or Toronto. And our politicians are morons.
