Calling Bears?

I'm going to go for my first bear this year and since we can't bait or use any scents or attractants, I was going to either do a spot and stalk or sit and call for a little while. Do you guys have any recommendations on calls or even calling for that matter. Or would I be better off spot and stalk. Thanks for the help

Calling bears

I have had about a 80 percent success rate during the summer months while calling coyotes (with an electronic call). I have yet to call one in during the September season, except when I am trying to call in a bull with cow and calf calls. It seems to me that with all the people out and about during hunting season the bears tend to not come to the call and you have to use a mouth call. Which means 40+ minutes of calling and your face going numb.  Huh?
