california deer

Has anyone else noticed the horn size in California this year? I live in zone D-3 and there is a definite increase this year even the small forken horns have have big forks allready. I live at about 2000 feet and its still green on alot of slopes and the brush is still sprouting. All the rain this year is making for some good deer. Got nearly 65 inches of rain at my house with 10 at least in may crazy. Haven't had time to scout yet but local deer look good

I've yet to get out here in

I've yet to get out here in SoCal (D-16) but I can tell you that it started last fall for us.  It was a banner year with all the nice bucks taken.  The success rate didn't really change, but the quality of the antlers was way improved.  Had a good rain this year, so it should be another good season.
