I just think it's an amazing irony -- the people that scream the loudest about tolerance and diversity have absolutely no tolerance for diversity in itheir own ranks. Orwell would be proud: conformity is diversity.

There's something to think about. I can hear John Lennon now:

Imagine no free thinking
It's easy if you try

Or you'll be vilified by everyone.

Now wait just a minute here. I come on this forum and express progressive views which, by the way, are in line with President Obama's positions. My policy is to teach, rather than irritate and enrage. Along the way, I've got several of the conservative posters to either agree with the position or at least get them to admit that the position was well thought out.

Meanwhile, pangolin in particular is spending his efforts irritating, enraging, and playing childish antics on a par with "La-la-la-la-la I'M NOT HEARING YOU".

And yet you accuse ME of presenting easy targets for the right wingers?

So let's compare methods. Focusing on intellect and teaching, or focusing on emotion and arguing. Who's having greater success pulling conservatives closer to understanding the progressive view?
