http://www.liggett.army.mil/hunting.htm

Here is a link for Hunter Liggett for all you. That place is about the only reason I wish I still lived in Cali, besides family down there.

Hello Big G and lever action lover . What area of the state do you live in? Do you want to hunt on public land ( national forests, BLM land , wilderness areas , etc. ) or on private land ?Do you want to pay a fee or try to take a hog without the cost of hunting on private land ?

Pied piper - I'm interested as well! I live as far South in Ca as you can go without changing Nationalities. I want to try my hand at wild pig on Free land. I won't have use of a dog.

Any good advice/areas to check out? Thanks!

Hello

Does anybody here have any experience hunting at Fort Liggit?

It seems to be friendly, according to literature and web site.

Thanks

Greg

I have been to Hunter Ligget a few times. Make sure you call ahead and find out if the area is available or not. They run a lot of military training out there still and it will severly limit the zones you are able to hunt in.

I'm not trying to advertise any other sites, but it is along the subject. There's a 3 day JHO HAM SLAM pig O rama May 21st for $300 a person at Tejon Ranch. I'm really excited to go... Tejon Ranch looks like a good oportunity for finding a good hog - and it's not a walk in the park!

A good area for Hog hunts is in Parkfield/San Miguel area. There are some private ranches there that don't charge anywhere near as much as Tejon does and the Hogs are plentiful.

F350 - You've got my attention! Any advice/insight would be great, I want to send in the $300 check to Tejon before February is up.

Any recomendations on ranches to contact?

Thanks, Jesse
