Hey bigG,
Can't help you with the hunting in California, but I did want to welcome you aboard.

Welcome!

BigG welcome to the board!

Have you tried calling the division of wildlife or DNR in California? Usually they have information on the game species hunted in a region (when to hunt, where to hunt, how to hunt, etc).

When you say boar, do you mean javelina?

Try checking with some of the BLM field offices at http://www.ca.blm.gov

They've provided me with activity reports and topo maps in the past. Some offices have very active programs on wild pigs.

Hey BigG

The book Hunting Wild Boar in California by Bob Robb offers a good insight yo some BLM and Forest areas.

Welcome Lever! BLM stands for "Bureau of Land Management". In most (maybe all states) its public land that is open to hunting.

Good luck in learning the 'hunting' ropes! Do you have a Dad, uncle, friend or someone that can take you out hunting? It helps to go out with someone experienced when you're first starting out.
