Short update, Things are

Short update, Things are really going slow with the time available. About 3 more days to finish the cap on the rock work and get it grouted in. Going with tin siding on the walls for speed and rustic look, same stuff like the tin on the roof that surface rusts. Should have some of that up by the end of next week

I really hate rocks now.lol

Did not entirely rock the west side as there will be an addition there next year for a small bathroom and utility room. Only did 10 feet for now. Will rock those walls then and move the tin being used now up onto the new roof.

grinding along, not enough

grinding along, not enough time to keep things moving.

Weekly Cabin Update. Decided to put some rock around the windows and doors as well so more loading and sorting. Will add a couple more days but getting close now. The tin goes up easy once the rocks are in place. Full length tin on this side as there will be an addition later and rocks will be added on that. Roof is slowly starting to rust and change color and the sides will as well. Think it's going to look pretty good when it all gets done. There will be a front porch and shingles above that into the peak.

I like the "rock around" look.

Make sure you take copious notes so you can build my dream cabin when I retire to a more northern state. I'll cook, you build. Big smile

It appears that our intrepid cabin builder has not posted in a while.

Either he is busy working on the cabin or he has famished due to not having sufficient sustenance. If such be the case it can only be because he didn't build the BBQ area first as that way he could work and eat.
