Back door and view and partial roof sheeting yesterday.

That's my dad playing spiderman on the roof. I don't like it up there much.

Wood will be primary heat

Wood will be primary heat source but I also plan to get a propane heater as well and will be looking for a good sized used propane tank if I can find one. Will have a propane oven, water heater, and fridge when I get it all together but probably next year for all that.

Solar first for some electrical and then water supply by way of a cistern.

I picked up a used cast iron wood stove from a co worker for 20 bucks he had sitting in his garage. Just have to get my son and his friends together to load the thing up as it's quite heavy.

Great Looking Cabin!

That's a great looking cabin you are building! A great beginning to a lot of future great memories as well! I'm envious as it sure beats my tent! Looking forward to the pics of the finished building.

Progress is fairly slow but

Progress is fairly slow but still moving along. Roof sheeting almost done and will begin closing things in this week as inspection went fine.

Metal roof will surface rust but no deeper than that for a vintage rustic look. 50+ year rating and made in Montrose I think.

Window and Pot

Reports are that Hunter25 now has a window installed in his new abode.

I suggest we take up a collection so that he can have a pot to urinate in. He already has the window to throw it out of.
