CA Draw Application Deadline

I know there are not many CA guys on here, but for those of us that are, deadling is today.

I decided that since our stupid San Diego zones have somehow become a "premium" tag, with the smallest deer in the world, and 10% succes rate, that I didn't want to burn points on them, so I just threw out G3, the Goodale hunt, as my first option, with D16 as a back-up.  If I get it, draw of a lifetime, if not, still hunt what I was planning on.  Also put in for elk in Independence.

Anyone else out there hunting CA?

I thought most of the X's

I thought most of the X's were high point zones, or did you get lucky and draw the random tag quota?  Very cool that you drew.  How'd you do last year????  Good luck this year.

sorry for the late reply, but yes we drew the random tags last year. hope to do it again. I did see some bucks that were either too far or too fast to get a good shot on. I did have a chance at a small fork but elected to let him grow up. I learned a lot about the unit and hunting the sage brush/pinion juniper areas.

Calif

I put in for the G3 hunt also, slim chance.  Plan on OTC G10 Camppend and AO Vandenburg.  Also have elk in Colo first rifle.

Ive stopped thowing money at the Calif Elk draw, id be 80 before I even have a chance to draw that tag.

Well, it's only $7.50 to

Well, it's only $7.50 to apply, and there is always the 1 or 2 random drawing tags.  Might as well try.  I will get AO as my second tag also.
