CA D7 RifleHunt

Well we backpacked in 10 miles up to small lake in the timberline at 10,000 ft.  I caught a few trout for dinner. Small but tasty when your hungry.

We glass for deer friday evening the night before the rifle opener, and never seen one animal.

Opening morning my buddy smashed a nice fat forky.

Sunday morning we were still hunting some shelfs just off the rim of the mountain and I found a huge 3 point. He was attemping to give me the slip, but I was successful in making the shot with my 7 mag, (or to confuss multipull shots) Whistling

Thanks for Looking!!!

D7

Nice bucks! My old stomping grounds, hunted there many years. I'm looking at my last D7 buck and he could be the 3x's dad.

Very nice Hog!  Was wondering when you'd post.  Congrats!

Headed out Friday for a little A-22 action.  Got a few weeks left of that till our rifle (D-16) opens.
