Re: buying a muzzeloader

I would also be aware of where you want to use this front loader, some states have restrictions of how high tech they can be

I have owned a CVA Optima Pro in 45 cal and loved it. Now I have a TC Encore in 50 cal as the CVA grew legs during a break in.

I am partial to the 50 cal because components seem to be more readily available in my area

Re: buying a muzzeloader

I know that the the Electric ignite ML is not legal for ML season in at least one of the western states (i think CO). Also, some states have restrictions on the caliber of the ML. i think Elk have to be hunted with at least a 50 cal. I also read in another state, and i can't recall which, you had to use a sidelock, no inliner (i think that was ID). Now granted, tthese stipulations are only for the ML seasons in those states. The electric ML is legal for regular firearms season. If you are interested in going on a ML huunt during a ML season, i would check the regs closely. It might sway your decision.
