I just returned from Colorado after a successful Muzzleloader Elk Hunt. We took the animal approximately 3 miles and 1300 verticle feet up from our camp in public land, The pack worked outstandingly well during the multiple trips down with heavy loads. I have since recommended a bull pack to anyone I know who is a hunter, or who might carry a heavier than normal load on their back.
The hunt: 38 miles in 4 days, all over 10,500ft...mountain terrain, all types of weather.
The harvest: 600+lb cow elk.
The result: sore feet, fresh meat, and a perfectly happy back.
The pack is made well, fits the back well, and is super solid but light (4lbs).
Highly recommend taking a look at one if you are considering a frame pack and hunt larger game.
Good luck to all!
