BULL ELK UNIT 27 AZ

I have a unit 27 bull tag for Nov. in az, looking for some tips on hunting equipment(arrows,broadhead,etc.) also whats a good map to use to show current backroads,trails,boundaries. Going by myself so want to make sure i have a decent amount of information to make an enjoyable hunt. thanks

Welcome to BGH.
It's tough to beat the USGS BLM series of topo maps which show landownership, road/quality and topography, especially in conjunction with a Forest Service Map which may show gates on the roads and when said road is open or closed. It may take a little work to figure out exactly which maps you need. I'm not aware of a good commerical map source in that area, but I could be wrong.
I prefer the National Geographic Trails Illustrated Maps wherever possible, but those are currently limited to select parts of Colorado and Utah, plus some National Parks.

I love that unit, you should have a great time.

I'd start with the National Forest map, I believe most of your unit is Apache Sitgreaves NF. If you narrow in on a specific area you can pick up better topos. I like to hunt the Blue river side of 191, lack of roads cuts down on the pressure. Never hunted November archery though...
