bugles?

Anyone hearing the elk bugeling yet? last weekend on my first trip out I heard 2 bulls and that was it.

I took two of my kids on an overnight pack on the PCT, north of White Pass (WA) about three weeks ago. Middle of the night there were three bulls bugling to each other.

No daytime noise yet, but they were pretty vocal at night.

Thats cool, I have a friend hunting on the OR coast and he heard a few yesterday. Its getting me excited for sept 16 when i go back to eastern oregon for my next elk hunt.

My little cousin pulled a

My little cousin pulled a bull tag for Ochico, just got back from Oregon. They called in several bulls, he missed his first elk with a bow! Next day he got a buck, back in WA now. I'll have to ask him how vocal they were when he calls me up.
