Buffalo massacre

If it wasn't a legitimate hunt authorized by the owner and the malicious result of a dispute, then someone is going to jail and also going to be slapped with a huge law suit.

From what I've read it seems like a neighbor dispute over the buffalo. It is interesting that all of the buffalo were taken on the neighbors land....

It's a shame that the media strikes once again and chalks up the killing of 30 bison as "some sort of hunting activity" and that a "group of hunters" was "actively gunning down" the bison.

Funny, but I didn't see the words "illegal" or "poach" anywhere in there. So the media manages to smear hunters again.

Here is an updated article on the buffalo massacre.

I do get weary of the media using "hunting" and associating it with ANY shooting of animals. This was not a hunt!

The media didn't use those words because in Colorado you only need premission from the owner of the herd to kill buffalo, and the ranchers can make as much a $5000 per bison. No biggame license for buffalo exist here in the state. But, 32 buffalo at once?? It sounds like a massacre to me. Something just isn't right. No rancher or herd owner would authorize that many to be killed at once.
