Bucks Moving

The bucks are running right down the side of the fence rows. Like you said they are checking every trail looking for hot does. They are also freshing up thier scrapes while moving also.

We check a food plot last night and seen two real nice ones with thier nose down running around. I have hunters coming in this weekend and looks like they are going to hit it pretty good.

i think the WTail rut in

i think the WTail rut in western SD is a week to 10 days out still:

was out this morning for 4 hours...at daylight i saw 4 does working the unmowed hay feild behind me 400 yards...then 6 more does walked through a plowed field in front of me from 200 yards up to 40 yards from me. then 2 more does walking from the pasture over my left shoulder at 200...then 3 bux at 9aqm heading to cover all 3 together....800 yards away...no does around them...

i did see 6 bucks yesterday afternoon all in a group and all sparring with each other...

ALL of this activity is within 800 yards of my stand in a section of hay and small creek bottom...and i can see my house from my stand...lol

i went out today and a buck

i went out today and a buck came in to a scrape, but paid absolutely no mind to a doe 15 yards away.  It was as if she wasn't even there.  Some another rub and another scrape so I am hoping the action starts soon.

well i was right about the 10

well i was right about the 10 days...3 days ago i started seeing chasing...today in the stand...CRAZY... buck after buck fighting, chasing does, running around at 11am! i had 2 6 points an 8 point and a 150 class 9 point around my stand...saw a BIGGGGG 10 point about 300 yards away tending does...then bedded down...i grunted and rattled and he jumped up but followed the does again....i walked ver there and watching wander through the wood like a sick puppy with 2 smaller bucks and some does..left and came to work for a while....going back out this afternoon! and tomorrow and thenext day!!! but man that 1/4 mile hike from my house to my stand is getting tiresome! LOL
