Thank you for sharing the information about you BAR Safari. I would also be interested in knowing the caliber of your BAR, the ammunition that you use and the BOSS setting.

Browning claims the BOSS can be tuned to different factory loads and then adjusted to the correct BOSS setting as needed. Have you every tried this or do you use just one type of ammunition?

I am shooting a 7mm Rem Mag with handloads. For my 150 gr Sirocco load, the BOSS setting is (2). This load groups under 1" at 100 yd. My 160 gr Nosler Partition load Boss setting is (6). This also groups at about 1".

Thank you for the very useful information. It is nice to find someone else that has a BAR with a BOSS that is willing to share data about their experiences with this type of rifle.

I still have one question. Could you set your BOSS at 2 and shot a three shot group with the with the 150 gr Sirocco, change the setting of the BOSS to 6 and shot a three shot group with the 160 gr Nosler Partition, change the BOSS setting to 2 and shot another three shot group with the 150 gr Sirocco and still keep the groups below 1" all three times?

Yes, changing the setting does not affect the group size or accuracy on my rifle. Once you have determined the setting for a particular load, it stays the same.
