Brocket deer anyone?

Anybody actually hunted these little guys?

I have hunted with the guy that books these hunts and he says it's a great time. He got to hunt both the deer and the turkey for signing up to be their booking agent.

I had never heard of these

I had never heard of these little guys until now. According to the research I found, they are found in the Yucatan Peninsula, Central and South America and on the island of Trinidad. They stand anywhere from 14-31" at the shoulder and weigh up to about 100 pounds.

While I would enjoy hunting them, I really don't think I would care to use the outfit mentioned in the link above.

Why? It has to do with attitude. Their advertised price for a hunt is $3,000 and they follow that with this statement, "If you think the fee is too much then you are a cheap skate and probably ought to find a different hobby/sport because tips are not included."

That's just a little too in-your-face for me. I'll pass, thank you.

Thanks for the report, Hunter.

I totally agree in reference

I totally agree in reference to the statement he made there. I was surprised to see that myself. He is not actually the outfitter for this hunt just the booking agent so I have no idea what the place itself is like and probably never will.

One thing about Bryan, I have only hunted with him once as he went along as a guide on a hunt I went on. He is totally obnoxious and loud mouthed and never stops talking and telling stories when not out hunting. But and this is a big one for me, He works hard to get your animal and with everything that comes after that. He is a man of his word and never once lied or tried to get extra money from us and took full responsability for anything that was not to our liking. I have never paid big money far any hunt but this is the first time out of 4 different paid situations that I can say that about our guides.

But I agree again in saying that statement was not appropriate for the advertisement.

I also did not let my dad hunt with him as he probably would have choked him after the first hour.lol

Seriously?  Where does this

Seriously?  Where does this guy get off talking like that?

I wonder what his business is like. lol

Those are cool little deer.  That, along with the coues deer and our southern California mulies, all are pretty small.

I just went on that link and

I just went on that link and read that!  That alone would keep me from making any contact calls with that jerk.  What a stupid statement to put on a website where you're trying to book clients and make money!!!   Hunter25---Too bad your Dad and I were'nt on that hunt with you as you wouldn't have had to worry about your Dad choking him after an hour of him.  Reason---I would have probably shot him in the first half hour after reading that statement alone, LOL!!!
