muzzys are good. I think most of the broadheads on the market today are good so it comes down to preference.

Ramcats, these things fly like field tips. I shot the smokes(mechanical) last year and love them. We are hunting in a few more places this season that does not allow mechanicals, and these fit the bill.

This is an entry hole on a hog quartering away after we started skinning. Plus they are only around 29-30 bucks for a three pack.
Obviously any broadhead that you can put through both lungs will do the trick no problem. I just like these alot. I can't get most heads to fly as good as these Ramcats.
For yall that want to fill me in on how a fine tuned bow will make any broadhead fly like a field tip, mine is finely tuned.I crono @ 330 fps ,shooting 347grns total including 100grn head 64 lb GX X force. When you put a wing on the front end of a fast arrow, it will take on its own life of two or three inches(or more) here and there.
Good luck with whatever you choose.

you can use mechanicals if you want to tear the meat up pretty bad. If I were you I would try the muzzy MX-4's 100 grain. I've never had a deer get 60 yards after being shot. Good luck!

It does not matter what kind of broadhead you use if you put it throught both lungs it aint going far at all. As far as expandables(mechanicals) tearing up meat, they only cut like the rest of them. Just a bigger hole.
I have taken 112 deer with a bow. All but 98 were taken with fixed heads, muzzy, terminators, ultimate steel, bear razor(back in the early 80s) bodkins etc., the rest with smoke mechanicals. The differance is only the size of the hole, and mechanicals are more pinpoint accurate by default alone.
I am useing the Ramcats fixed this season because they fly most like a field tip, and the real smoke broadheads are not avalible this season. And yes my bow is tuned well, before anyone wants to tell me that any broadhead will fly like a field tip if your bow is tuned right.

what ever you do DO NOT use rage broadheads, this week alone My friends and I have had four deer lost using them...all were lung shots and the deer were tracked for over 200 yrds then the blood trail was gone...I must admit they have a great advertisement department but its all hype

Not to be rude but I really doubt its the broadhead your using. 4 deer in one year is alot to injure and not retrieve. You guys should hit the bag a little more and practice shooting your bows. Proper arrow placement in the vitals is crucial. I wont take a shot unless i know its going to be in the kill zone.

I myself like the magnus 2blade in 125. I shoot 555 total weight on my longbow.

I am also liking the Eclipse 2blade a lot also in 125 of course.

How long do you wait before you start to track? I usually wait a minimum of a half hour even if I see the deer drop. If they are going 200 yards it sounds like they are being pushed.
