The Remington 7400 is an underrated weapon and more accurate than most folks can shoot. Speaking of which, my 10 month old 30-06 has achieved 5/8" groups using standard Federal 180-gr. (Nosler) Solid Base loads.

Most horror stories about it are overexaggerated by those not having first-hand experience with them. Some valid though as the older 740 / 742 had a lot of concerns which were addressed with the upgrade to 7400.

Happy hunting and good luck with your new firearm. Keep the lug bolts lubricated at all times, as this is the area where wear will ocurr the most with this semi-auto. You can also have the trigger adjusted / reworked down to about 2 3/4 pounds as I did with mine for enhanced accuracy.

I've already sighted it in and my scope is a Redline Bushmaster its shoots like a beaut anyway this year will be the year to get one if any wish me luck boys and I'm only using the rem 160gr this year heard some good things about the choice i picked so hopefully they do the same for me.
