I posted this on a nother local broad, but thought I would get a wider pool of opions....

I find me self looking for a new hunting partner, and have been looking at Boykins, along with some other breeds. The thing is, the wife thinks she wants her own hunting dog this time around, so I'm looking to get 2 pups.

So for the folks who have Boykins, what do you hunt with them? Do they work good on rabbits, squrriels, and possums, or just a bird dog?
How are they with grandkids.?
What is the best thing you like about 'em and what is the worst thing you dislike about 'em?

Is there a big difference between the boykin and a springer?

Also, are there good breeders in oregon, can P.M. breeder info if you want.

I have researched the breed on the net, so know the basics, just curious as to the "knowledge" of true owners.
