Bowfishing

Just wandering if anybody here is into this? If so I have a few questions.

Is there a home made bowfising reel that is easy and safe?
Is there a safe way to convert a regular arrow for bowfishing?
When you shoot do you aim normal, high, or low to compensate for the fish being in the water?
How deep can the arrow effectively reach?

Bowfishing

Well I found some directions on the web about how to make what I needed. I followed them exactly and the stuff works about as well as a gas tank filled with sand. Me and my buddy Nathan were on the coosa river in some of the back waters and the arrows would go ten feet and then dive staight into the water. We tried fishing but the water was to muddy and cold. Then it happend a stoke of pure intelligence (okay so really it was pure boredom, but hey intelligence sounds better.) We began to watch the turtles surface for air and it hit me. So I swapped my homemade fishing tips for regular fields points and the hunt was on we spent 2 hours chasing down turtles as they would pop up here and there. I had so much fun I'm going back just for that.
