Bow hunting Howgs?

I am going on my first hog hunt in a few weeks. I want to use my long bow, but I am not sure that it is smart. Any thoughts?

What would be the righ type boradhead, b/c I had thought about using my bow for my hunt.

I had also thought of using a knife, but I wouldn't think it would be to smart for a first timer? Suggestions?

myself as a guide i'd rather have a first timer using a knife rather than anything else. the dogs will controll the pig all you'll have to do is have the gonads to walk in there and run the kife up under his front leg. but if you're all for the bow and nothing else go with crimson talon 100gr.

What type of knife? Not necesarrily what actual knife, but what specs(ie blade length, shape, width, serrated or straight, that stuff)?

you'll need a good strong blade at least 7inches long srait edged and as sharp as you can get it. stick it under the front leg and twist it a little and you'll take the heart out and it'll be over in about 3 seconds.

Really sounds like fun. Seems like it would take all the "equipment failure" error margin out of it. If something goes wrong it's all your fault.
