Second year Bow hunter here.

Hunted last year in Starkey.....waited a week into the season to hunt so missed 'opening day'. Heard a few say "You should have been here last week".

My question to all your more experienced hunters is....

If I have a week to hunt elk....how important is opening day? Or is waiting later in the rut more important. Week Two, Three or Four?
