This is why it is a good idea

This is why it is a good idea to keep an old bow as a backup. What would you have done if you were going on a once in a lifetime hunt? Scary to think you don't have a backup bow for this.

Twin Towers is back. Actually

smile Twin Towers is back. Actually I don't think he ever left. I have sat in the stand I hung for him 3 times now. To my left there is a deep creek bed. The banks on this creek are probably 6-7 feet high. Each of the three times I have sat in that standI heard something in that creek around 7pm. The first two times I didn't see anything. So, this evening I was waiting and watching around 7pm. Sure enough I heard something again and there is a little opening about three feet wide I could see through. Sure enough there is Twin Towers ginormous rack passing by. I sat in the tree a little longer. I got down and walked out to my truck. I looked over to the field where I would see them come out of the trees at and there he was. He was crossing the field going to the beans. Bingo, gotcha. I have a new strategy for TwinTowers Saturday night. I just hope it works.Big smile

You have to sit on him

You have to sit on him tomorrow. It can't wait until Sat. A cold front with plenty of rain is coming through during the day on Sat, therefore he'll be moving around in his home territory. He won't be traveling the ditch on Sat. You must sit on him tomorrow. Good luck

Thanks for the advice, but I

Thanks for the advice, but I can't get out there tomorrow or it is Friday now (today). Up here in Ohio there is only a 30% chance of scattered showers. The cold really isn't suppose to hit until Sunday. I am also ahving my son (deer slayer) coming on the sit as well. We will have the only two ways he can come covered. So, if he does come one of us will nail him.

I had a plan to sit on the

I had a plan to sit on the ground and use natural cover for a blind over by the creek on Saturday night. I really did not see a very good spot to sit so I just went back up into the tree stand. I will make a natural blind and hit that spot up again probably mid to late this week. I did not see anything there last night. This morning I went to one of my other spots and I nearly had a doe. The ground was soft and wet so I had a doe sneak in on me and I looked over and she was practically below me before I knew she was even there. I tried to draw on her but she never gave me an opportunity to. She also had a fawn with her as well. After I got done hunting I retrieved one of my memory cards and I got some more pics of Brutus and The Off Limit 9. I will post them up in a bit.

Went and talked to the bow

Went and talked to the bow shop. The guy said hopefully by the end of the week. Yeah, I hope so to. There is alot of rain forecasted for the next few days so I'm not sure how much I'll get out. I am off Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights. hopefully I will be able to at least get a couple of hunts in between rain drops. As it stands right now the only time I will be able to get out is Wednesday morning and evening,Thursday morning, and Friday morning. On the weekend I will only be able to hunt in the evenings. Good luck to all.

I know my son, (deer slayer)

I know my son, (deer slayer) is really frustrated. He hasn't been able to hunt at all yet. Well, hope fully by the weekend I will have my bow and my hunting partner back.
