I enjoyed a nice sit in the tree stand this evening. I saw alot of deer just nothing I wanted to shoot. I saw a couple bucks off in the distance but they didn't appear to be shooters. I will be heading back out in the morning and then again tomorrow evening.

This morning was an uneventful sit. I only busted a few out on the way into the stand.  As far as our bows go I was told last Friday it should be this Friday. I have heard that like 3 straight weeks now so I'm not very encouraged by that.

Getting ready to go back out

Getting ready to go back out this evening. I'm headed to the property where I seen Twin Towers. I haven't been there in 9 days. So, hopefully the deer feel a little more at ease and get back on their normal travel routes. If I see any shooters this evening, I will be flinging an arrow it's way, buck or doe. Wish me luck!!!!! I'll let you all know how it goes after I get back.

Well, I wonder if the October

Well, I wonder if the October lull has begun. This makes the second straight sit I did not see any deer. We are suppose to get some cooler weather though. Maybe that will get them up and moving.

Looks like I won't be going

Looks like I won't be going out until Thursday evening. The weather should be about 15-20 degrees colder. That might make for some good hunting.

I think this whole season so

I think this whole season so far has been a lull, atleast out here, there hasnt been very many animals taken this year, most of my hunting friends havent had any luck so far. hopefully things start to pick up, the weather here may have something to do with it though, today its 70 and sunny and normaly this time of year its upper 50's and raining. hopefully it changes soon, suppossed to be like this through the week end. as long as its cool in NOV i dont really care as i can hunt again till then. LOL

I will be going out this

I will be going out this evening. It will be much colder than it has been. I will be sitting in one of the new stands I put up in the summer for the first time. It is on the very top of an oak ridge. The other day when I was out I heard acorns dropping like crazy. Where this stand sits there are like 4 or 5 major trails criss crossing right where this stand is. This will be the coldest evening of the hunting season so far. So, maybe, just maybe, Brutus will come my way and I will send an arrow right into his chest. I will give you all a report how it all went when I get back in tonight. Hopefully I will be posting up some pictures of me and Brutus!!!!!

I seen 2 right at the end of legal shooting light. They were too far away and I think they were a doe and a fawn. I will be going back out maybe Saturday morning. Definitely Saturday evening, Sunday morning and Sunday evening. I will probably be going out Monday morning and evening as well. Good luck to everyone else.
