Bought a new Win M70 Super grade last week!

I'm pumped-As soon as I heard the news I had the excuse I was waiting for. I went down to my favoirt shop and waited in line for quite awhile. Win M70's were flying out the door. I scored the last supergrade in 30-06. Any owners out there?

What makes a super grade?

Is it the upgraded wood, does it have iron sights, ect?

I owned a model 70 Super Grade (classic) briefly in early 2004. Good gun, nice balance, shot pretty good, felt confident during shooting. I sold it though, I was pretty much tapped from not working at the time. sad

The supergrade is the most accurate out of the box rifle I have evr owned. That being said, to be fair it is the first new rifle I have ever handloaded for. I got lucky and it was almost perfectly zeroed with the 2nd shot with 165 grain NP's in front of 54.5 grains of IMR 4350 with Nosler premium brass and WLR primers and bullet seated .0010 off the lands. First shot was 4-5" low and 2-3 " right. Made a bunch of clicks with elevation and windage and the neext shot was almost perfect at 100Yds. Tried 55 grain IMR 4350 for next group and they were even tighter....done deal. The gun sports a brand new leupy FXIII 6x42 which is a dream too.

Sounds like you got a great rifle -- and one that's destined to hold its value, too. Thumbs up

Whats even cooler is that it came with a 26" bb. These are not even advertised to be available in 26" bbl. I guess from what I have heard is WIN occaisionally put together "Parts Guns" so they grabbed a bbl usually for a .300 WM and reamed her for 30-06. I love the gun and the bbl length just adds to it by making it rare. Also adds 50-100fps. And who know? maybe thats why it is so dang accurate.
