Bosque Del Oso, unit 851 co.

I have an elk tag for the bosque for the first rifle season. Could use any helpful info on this unit as I am having trouble finding much. Anyone hunted elk in this unit, would love to talk to you.

The people at the CDOW

The people at the CDOW headquarters could give you some help. I'd give them a call.

I'm no expert on it but I've

I'm no expert on it but I've been there.  Bosque is a good area.  Rolling hills of scrub oak, some pine.  Bordered on the South by NW and I believe one of the Turner ranches.  Haliburton is there doing a lot energy production but the elk seem pretty used to the drilling.

Pretty good success % on elk as compared to other Colorado units.  Some of those Bosque elk tags will also allow you to hunt some other nearby areas but Bosque del Oso is said to be very good.

Is this part of the ranching

Is this part of the ranching for wildlife program or is it open to NR?
