Have been a Vasque for years. Sorry to say that their quality has slipped.
I picked up a pair of 8" Danner Blades w/ 400 gr. Thinsulate. They are the most comfortable boots out of the box I have ever worn. I have really wide feet and the 12 EE's fit me great! They are lighter than my hiking boots. Durability is yet to be determined. I think they have made me a full Danner convert.

Boots?
Well I put my new Irish Setter Grizzly Trackers to the test this weekend. They were Brand new in the box Friday and hiked about 15 miles over the weekend in them and they were a dream! My feet were always warm and dry and my feet aren't sore today at work so I'd say its a damn good boot!
