Yeah im thinking buying either rocky's snowstalkers witch are 1200 grans and rated for -150 dagrees or go with cabelas brand predators witch are also 1200 grams and rated for-150 dagrees. but i dont know what ones would be better.
The new rockys are better than the old style one I have used rockys for years and I have only one problem with them ,and that is the bottems have worn out long before the rest of the boot did. and for the gortex liner in there it is the best yet. I have a pair from 2 years ago the bottems are smooth and the sides are ripped out , but they are still waterproof . As for the thinsulate I think it is overrated had 800g feet still got cold. (cold would feel good now it's 95 here, )
Others have offered up a sighting of roughly 2 inches high at 100 yards as a good sighting scheme. In my own experience I have come to favor a sighting of 3.5 inches high at 100 yards. This allows for the individual to hold dead-on (directly in the middle of the top and bottom) the animal out to roughly 350 yards.
