BLM Lands

Does anyone out there know of a good resource for information on Colorado BLM lands? Are all of these lands public? Any special permits required? I am hunting in 62 in the Uncompahgre NF for elk during rifle season and just got my maps in this week. There is a lot of BLM land around the forest and I am wondering if it is fair game...Thanks, andy

BLM lands are government lands that can be used the same as National Forest lands. They are managed by a different gov agency.
The BLM has some good maps called surface use maps that show land ownership and are very useful.
Be aware in Colorado, private land does not have to be posted for someone to be charged with trespassing. It is the responsibility of the hunter to know where he/she is. The local BLM office sells them for $4, I fond them online for $7.

I hunt on BLM land almost exclusively.
