I hunted the Skokomish GMU 636 near Deckerville last late bow season. I've hunted Sitkas many times on Kodiak, Afognak and Southeast Alaska the deer always rut anytime after the first week of November and the rut usually peaks for up to two weeks after. I expected the deer to be in rut late bow season here in SW Washington and they were definitely not. I was frustrated to hear the dear had rutted during the late modern firearm season, is that typical??!
