Bison hunting anybody interested????

There seems to be a good number of people interested in hunting bison in Northwestern Alberta, east of Highway 35. Please be aware that this area includes the Caribou Mountaines Wildland Provincial Park. Being as these bison are not considered wildlife under the Wildlife act they cannot be hunted in the Caribou Mountains Wildland Provincial Park.

Section 46(1)(d) and 46(1.1)(c) of the Provincial Parks Act, Provincial (General) Regulations apply
46(1) "No person shall posses a firearm in a provincial park or recreation area unless (d) in the case of a wildland park, there is an open season under the Wildlife Act for an area that includes the wildland park and the person is authorized under the Wildlife Act to hunt the kind of wildlife to which the open season applies"

46(1.1)(c) " No person shall discharge a firearm in a provincial park or recreation area unless (c) in the case of a wildland park, the person discharges the firearm while hunting a kind of wildlife that the person is authorized under the Wildlife Act.

Under the Provincial Parks Act bows are considered firearms.[/i]

might have to run a remote camp if too far from main. also I'm working on accessing some trapping cabins for emerg shelters .. Camp would be a couple of tents, I have a couple with winter liners and large wood stoves. dscott09@telus.net

Using wood stove is good It uses a system of internal baffles to make the hot exhaust gases from the fire wander around its ceramic body until all their heat has been absorbed.
