I have 2 bird dogs that stay in the house quite a bit in the evenings when we are home. We know of somebody that has a $2000 bird that is being neglected (my wife has always wanted one of these birds) and they want it to go to a good home. I've trained several dogs and I know that if you let a cow dog see cattle too much while they're standing around, the dog will realize they are quite boring and lose its desire to work them. My question is, if my dogs see a bird sitting nicely in a cage or see me or my wife handling a well behaved bird, will they lose thier birdiness?
