bipod?

This is going to sound really hickish, but usually I just use the truck, rock, ground, bush, arm sling, tree, any-near-by-steady-object, etc; to setup for a good shot. Wink

I bet a bipod would really help though if your going for long shots.

I mostly want it for the range but would probably use it in the field as well if I liked it and was hunting an open area.

A bipod would be a big help if you like to shoot from the prone position.

I never can seem to keep my arms quite steady when shooting from that postition.

Bitmaster, I was looking at the new extendable bipods from Harris that will extend from 13" to 25" so you could shoot in the sitting or kneeling position as well as prone.

Have you had any experience with the longer bipods like the harris model 25?

I own 25's, and love em! I can sit right down and use them when fully extended, or when there not extended, their short enough not to be cumbersome.

I just ordered the Harris model 25S. It has the swivel legs for uneven ground. I thought this might be more useful to me on my hunting rifle.
