These are fom my house; right across the street from dads. All of the pictures were taken this summer, 2006. The really sad thing is half of these bucks will get killed by cars driving through the neighbrhood in November and early December. It happens every year. The other sad thing is I have hunted all of my life, I'm 41, and have never seen a deer like this while hunting. I will keep trying though. Good luck to everyone!
I live off of Meridian Road and I saw a nice drop tine 4x4 a couple of times in velvet. Haven't seen him since the end of September. Could have been hit as well. I don't have a picture because I was always on my way to work at 0500.
Jim Zumbo, Craig Boddington, Ron Spomer and Wayne Van Zwoll are all solid contributers to the modern hunting literature. Through their gifts (both hunting and writing) they make us better hunters. Whether it is letting us learn from their mistakes or by teaching us new techniques, they help us harvest more game. But I suggest looking to the oldies, the fathers of the outdoor writing craft, to learn tricks that you might have not used.
I chose to shoot the 270 winchester because I grew up...
