I set my trail cam at 2 pics every 5 minutes. I tried the 2 pics every 15 but took to long for the pics to get taken. I also put tape on either side of the sensor so the animal had to be more centered in the pic. Mine was set about 15-16' away from bait. First camera got clawed up and it was 6 1/2' up a small tree. The second camera I moved up the tree to 7 1/2' and a bear chewed on the corner of it. But the only time I had a bear mess with the camera's where when I ran out of bait.
In the darkness, the hunter stumbles through the underbrush, making noise and leaving his scent seemingly EVERYWHERE!
