best over the counter rifle?

a remington , a ruger , and winchesters are all awesome guns, but if I were to buy a WBY cartridge I would buy a WBY gun also, you really should consider a 300 win mag, cheaper to shoot and in my book, better than any WBY cartridge, but hey, that's just me,

I really do like the rem. 700's though!! I got 2, one in 2506 and one in 220 swift, lot's of dead deer and coyotes!!!
I also got a winchester model 70 in 7mm.rem mag. awesome gun!!

Practice, practice or buy a scope. Unless you grow up shooting a .22 or a BB gun or plan on practicing religiously, do not attempt to shoot at a deer at 100 yards with open sights. 150 yards, no way. Buy a scope. Simmons has some excellent models for around $100-$150. Either a fixed 4x or a variable 2.5-8. Play it safe.

Which 300 are you talking about. There are many and each are fairly different. The 270 is a 30-06 casing necked down to the 270 calibre bullet so it is a winner for deer and more than capable for most non-dangerous game.

Honestly I dont know what type of 300, so let me research that a little more and I get back to you on that. Also I was wondering if the 270 would be a good coyote/pig rifle?

If you are considering any .300 magnums, i would have to recommend the .300 win mag. It's ballistics and accuracy are superb, easy to find ammo for, and the most popular chambering, meaning you have better rifle selection. Theres been alot of hubub about wsm's, wby mags, rem ultra mags..BUT what will all of these calibers do, that the .300 win mag wont....the only answer i can come up with, is BREAK YOUR POCKETBOOK! good luck

The 270 would be fine for coyote and hog because you could choose the bullet weight accordingly.

What is the regular price of both guns? And what ammo should I use for hog and coyote...

Model for model I don't think you will see a big difference in price. The ammo is about the same price as well. As for size in the 270 Win., I'd use the 140-150 grain bullets for hog and deer and 100-130 grain bullets for coyotes(the 140-150 gr. would be ok for this as well if you didn't want to re-sight your gun each time you switched). If you are looking for a good cheap rifle, check out what Savage has to offer. They are supposed to be very accurate right out of the box and are dirt cheap.
