Could you all help a rookie out by giving me some basic pointers about where to key in on as far as bedding areas are concerned-- both for does and bucks? What type of terrain and vegetation tend to hold animals?

They don't go too far from the food source, why would they ? Unless hunters or predators force them to.

Sometimes they'll bed right in a corn field. Now that's close to their food source.

they'll bed in an area where the wind works to their advantage
