Bear tag

Well it looks like I will be chasing bears in September this year ! Thumbs up My points for 2012 are at zero. It should be an awesome year to chase bears. Due to the lack of moisture they will be on the move looking for food and easy to find.

Good luck to all this year !

Good luck on the tag.  The

Good luck on the tag.  The last two years that I had that September tag all the bears had gone to the local towns to feed on the garbage.  I had one homeowner in Avon off me a chance to sit in his office and shoot out of a open window as the neighbor hood bear came in to feed.  That was a dry year also and most of the bears were sitting within a quarter mile of a good water source.

I only applied for the point again this year.

Good luck with your hunt Quinton. If anyone can find them I'm sure it's you.

I can get that tag with no

I can get that tag with no points in my unit. They actually increased the number of tags this year. I wish they would have done that with deer too.

I just applied for a point

I just applied for a point too.  Don't know where I want to go yet or how much time I want to put into my next bear hunt.  Have a great time scouting and hunting this year and good luck!  Can't wait to read the story and see the pics.

I just applied for the point

I just applied for the point too since we are doing the spring bear deal in Idaho. Good luck and hope it works out well. Also see moose is out as again I got another point. I now have 12 pref points and sure hope to draw a tag before I hit 20 PP. Oh well maybe next year.

Thanks

Thanks everyone ! I spent 6 PP's on a 3-4 PP tag, but I felt this year would be one to find a big boar on the move. I will hopefully find one like one of these two.

Good luck to all with the rest of the draws ! Thumbs up

Holy moly!  Those are some

Holy moly!  Those are some nice looking bears.  The grand total of 3 bears that I have seen in the wild at this point in my life were no where near as big as either of those.  Good luck going after those!

Either one of those bears

Either one of those bears would be great. Good luck and hope you can bag one of those big boys.
